Strengths:
Marlene is very good at Defense Against the Dark Arts and Transfigurations. She loves flying and quite enjoys quidditch (though she's not on the team). She's really good at wizard's chess and singing as well.

Weaknesses:
Marlene isn't good at Herbology; all plants she touch tend to die, definitely no green thumb here. Marlene doesn't get the point of Divinations, so she doesn't really try and often has a low grade because of it. She's not good at Maths or Arithmancy either. Personality wise, she's a bit distrusting and that's her biggest personality flaw.

Personality:
Marlene is a girl who keeps to herself. She's not exactly shy, but she doesn't really like to insert herself into groups she's unfamiliar with. She has a little bit of a trust issue - for no reason in particular, it's just how she is. Being a quite person, whenever Marlene does speak, it tends to surprise people, which amuses her to no end.

Marlene has a tendency to get annoyed with people who are loud, cocky, and like to brag a lot - even her brother, whom she loves dearly, annoys her because of these reasons. Marlene isn't completely a stick in the mud though. When she's alone with someone, usually someone she knows, she lets loose and will speak more, laugh more, and generally just be more comfortable. She also gets like this if you get a little bit of firewhsikey in her - then she'll be dancing around, singing and having a grand ol' time even if it's in a crowd.

Marlene doesn't necessarily have a temper, or at least not one that lashes out at people. Her anger is usually kept inward, simmering until it spills over. When that happens, she just turns and walks away, giving the silent treatment.

Marlene has a tendency to be a bit sarcastic and she's quite witty. She's a smart girl and enjoys learning, but she has a habit for blowing things off and waiting for the last minute. Sure, she likes to follow the rules, but she's not completely opposed to breaking them.


Appearance:

Marlene stands at about five feet, five and a half inches and weighs at about one hundred and twenty-five pounds. She keeps herself pretty fit by playing quidditch (even though she's not on the team) and by jogging.

Marlene has very pale blonde hair, seemingly white in certain lights, that falls a little past mid back. She often keeps it down, though will put it up in a high pony tail on occasions. It's naturally straight and somewhat thin and she wishes it was a little thicker and wavier.

Marlene has blue, sometimes gray looking eyes and are framed by thin eyelashes that aren't very dark if no mascara is applied. She doesn't mind her eyes too much, she just thinks they're somewhat bland and not very interesting.

Biography:

Marlene was the second child born to pureblood Jack McKinnon and Muggle Born Witch Eleanor McKinnon; the younger sister of Mark McKinnon by only a year. You could say that Marlene was an "oops" baby, but that didn't make her any less loved. She grew up with magic in her life, but with the understanding and appreciation of the muggle world, thanks to her mother. Ever since she was young, Marlene had been attached to her older brother. She followed him where he went and he, in return, was extremely protective of her.

Marlene's childhood was that of a normal one, you could say. She had imaginary friends until she was five, believed she'd marry her mother until she turned six and a half, believed in Santa Claus until she was eight, and got her letter to Hogwarts when she was eleven. Marlene was sorted into Gryffindor, the house of her mother and her brother. She loved learning DADA and Transfiguration the most and found she was horrible at Herbology and Divinations.

Now, Marlene is in her sixth year at Hogwarts. She watches Quidditch from the bleachers (never thinking she's good enough to be on the team), spends her free time reading fiction books, and often getting dragged to parties by her older brother.

Not much is known about her, though she was part of the Order, quite possibly was friends with Lily, and had either a sibling or a spouse (I picked a brother here).
